Forensic Midwifery
This session explores the intersection of nursing, midwifery, and the legal system in supporting survivors of abuse and trauma—particularly within the contexts of women’s health, obstetrics, and gynaecology. Topics include forensic data collection, documentation protocols, and ethical decision-making in sensitive care environments.
Special attention will be given to managing trauma in individuals affected by conditions like endometriosis, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. The session will also highlight the role of telemedicine in expanding access to forensic assessments and counseling services, especially in underserved regions.
Collaboration between healthcare professionals and legal authorities will be emphasized to ensure ethical, respectful, and comprehensive support for survivors.
