Cardiovascular Nursing

This session focuses on clinical strategies in nursing and midwifery for the prevention, intervention, and recovery of patients with cardiovascular conditions. Emphasis will be placed on ECG interpretation, heart failure management, and lifestyle education to support long-term heart health across populations, including women with obstetric or gynaecological risks.

Discussions will explore how telemedicine enhances access to cardiac care and follow-up, especially for underserved groups. The session also considers the impact of chronic conditions like endometriosis on cardiovascular risk in women’s health and how preventive care can be integrated into midwifery and nursing practice.

This session encourages a holistic approach to cardiovascular care through education, patient-centered planning, and interprofessional collaboration.
